Events 2025
The year 2025 at Himachal Pharmacy College, Nalagarh was marked by a series of vibrant and meaningful events that contributed to the academic, professional, and cultural development of students. Throughout the year, various important occasions were celebrated, including the Sports Meet, Diwali Celebration, Pharmacovigilance Day, Anti-Ragging Week, Pharmacist Day, and Pharmacy Week. In addition, the institution organized orientation programmes, seminars, guest lectures, and cultural activities to enhance students’ knowledge, skills, and overall personality. These events provided students with opportunities to participate actively, showcase their talents, and learn beyond the classroom, while also promoting unity, awareness, and professional values within the institution.
ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2025
HIMACHAL PHARMACY COLLEGE, NALAGARH

Kheloutsav–2025, the annual sports meet organized by HPC, was a vibrant and energetic event that encouraged students to participate in various sporting activities. The event included a range of indoor and outdoor games such as Kho-Kho, Badminton, Cricket, Kabaddi, and Chess, allowing students to showcase their physical strength, strategic thinking, and teamwork. The sports meet created a spirit of healthy competition and enthusiasm among the participants. Students actively took part in different games, demonstrating sportsmanship, dedication, and unity. One-Day National Seminar
7 APRIL,2025
The one-day national seminar on “Healthy Beginnings Hopeful Futures” was held on 7 April,2025 at Seminar Hall(Ground Floor).The seminar aimed to raising awareness about pressing global health issues, including diseases, mental health, and access to healthcare. It brought together distinguished scholars, professionals, and students from across the country to exchange ideas and insights. The seminar featured a series of enlightening keynote speeches and presentations by renowned expert, including Dr. Kanika Jindal. This session provided valuable perspectives and fostered engaging discussions. The seminar also included interactive sessions and Q&A rounds. The seminar successfully achieved its objectives, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration among attendees.
International Yoga Day Celebration-2025 on theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health”
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the faculty members of Himachal Pharmacy College,Nalagarh actively participated in a yoga session held on 21st June 2025, in alignment with the national initiative to promote health and well-being through yoga.The event began at 9:30 am in the college primises, where faculty members gathered to practice various yoga postures and breathing exercises under the guidance of Dr. Rajneesh Kaur-Principal The session included warm-up exercises, asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and a brief meditation practice.The primary aim of this event was to encourage a healthy lifestyle among the teaching community and to spread awareness about the physical and mental health benefits of yoga. The participation of faculty members highlighted their commitment not only to academic excellence but also to personal well-being.The session concluded with a short talk on the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routine, followed by a group photograph of all participants.The celebration was a great success and well-received by all faculty members, reinforcing the importance of yoga in maintaining holistic health.
Independence Day Celebration Report
The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Himachal Pharmacy College, Nalagarh (15th August 2025). The event began with the hoisting of the national flag by the Dr. Rajneesh Kaur Principal, followed by the national anthem. Students, faculty, and staff gathered to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country. The Principal delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of independence and the role of pharmacists in building a healthier nation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and distribution of flags to students.
ANTIRAGGING WEEK 2025
Anti-Ragging Week was observed at HPC from 12th to 18th August to promote awareness about the importance of a safe and respectful campus environment. During this week, several activities were organized to educate students about the harmful effects of ragging and to encourage unity and mutual respect among them. The activities included a Poster Making Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Rangoli Competition, Skit performances, and a Pledge Ceremony. Students actively participated in these events and expressed their views on creating a ragging-free campus through creative ideas and performances. The week successfully spread awareness and reinforced the message of maintaining dignity, discipline, and harmony within the institution.
Student’s Orientation Programme
Aarambh-2025
The Student Orientation Programme “Aarambh–2025” was organized at HPC to warmly welcome the new students and familiarize them with the academic environment of the institution. The programme began with a welcome speech by Dr. Rajneesh Kaur, Principal, who encouraged students to make the best use of the opportunities available at the institute. This was followed by an introduction to the institute, HPTU Hamirpur, PCI, and the Mentor–Mentee Programme by Mr. Brij Bhushan (HOD). Ms. Shruti Jaswal explained the academic guidelines, while Mr. Sarbjot Singh informed students about the discipline rules and regulations of the institution. Ms. Poonam Kumari provided details about the examination system, and also conducted a campus tour along with Ms. Versha Sharma to help students become familiar with the facilities available. In addition, Ms. Anita Devi delivered a session on career guidance and the student support system. The programme also included informative lectures on human values, professional ethics, and laboratory rules, helping students understand the responsibilities and expectations of their academic journey.
PHARMACOVIGILANCE WEEK 2025
Theme:“Your Safety, Just a Click Away: Report to PvPI”
The Guest lecture on “Drug Addiction” was held on 20 September, 2025 during Pharmacovigilance week at Seminar Hall (Ground Floor). The lecture aimed to create awareness about the causes, effects and consequences of drug addiction, and to educate individuals on prevention strategies, treatment options, and the importance of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The lecture delieverd by invited expert Dr. Ritika Sharda emphasizing the importance of pharmacovigilance in combating the misuse of drugs and spreading awareness on drug addiction. Faculty members and resource persons shared insights on the causes, consequences, and preventive strategies of drug addiction, with a focus on its social and health impacts.The lecture also included interactive sessions and Q&A rounds. Participants actively engaged in debates and shared their experiences, which enriched the overall learning environment. The lecture successfully achieved its objectives, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration among attendees. National Webinar on World Pharmacists Day-2025
Celebrating World Pharmacist Day – Online Webinar on theme “Think Health,Think Pharmacist”. To commemorate World Pharmacist Day and recognize the crucial role of pharmacists in healthcare, especially in promoting responsible medicine use, patient care, and advancing the pharmacy profession.
Freshers’ Party
The Freshers’ Party was organized by the 2nd year students of HPC to warmly welcome the new batch and help them feel comfortable in the institute. The programme began with a welcome speech by the Principal, Dr. Rajneesh Kaur, who encouraged the students to enjoy their college life while focusing on their academic goals. The event included various cultural activities such as Bhangra, Giddha, Nati dance, singing performances, and fun games, which created a joyful and lively atmosphere. Both seniors and juniors participated enthusiastically, making the event memorable for everyone. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ashma Singla, who appreciated the efforts of the students in organizing such a wonderful event.
DIWALI CELEBRATION-2025
The Diwali Celebration 2025 at Himachal Pharmacy College,Nalagarh was held with great enthusiasm and joy on October 18, 2025. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the festival of lights with traditional fervor and cultural spirit.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by MD-Dr. Ashma Singla, Principal-Dr. Rajneesh Kaur, HOD-Mr. Brij Bhushan along with other dignitaries, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. This was followed by a heartfelt welcome speech by the Cultural Committee Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of unity, harmony, and positivity that Diwali represents,the energy reached its peak with a DJ organized in the campus courtyard. Students danced with enthusiasm and celebrated the festival in full spirit, making it one of the most memorable events of the year. The program concluded with a fireworks display and distribution of sweets among students and staff.
The celebration featured a vibrant cultural program, including classical and folk dance performances, songs, and a fashion show showcasing traditional Indian attire. The highlight of the evening was a “Rangoli Competition” which saw enthusiastic participation from students across all departments. The creativity displayed by the participants added color and beauty to the campus.
The celebration not only provided a platform for students to showcase their talents but also reinforced the values of togetherness, sharing, and cultural appreciation. Overall, the Diwali Celebration 2025 was a grand success and left everyone with fond memories and festive spirit.
Career Development Seminar-01/11/2025
Himachal Pharmacy College, Nalagarh organized a seminar on “Career Opportunities in Pharmaceutical Sector” to create awareness among students about the vast career prospects in the pharmaceutical industry. The seminar aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial requirements, helping students prepare for professional challenges and opportunities after graduation.The session began with a welcome address by Mr. Sarbjot Singh Associate Professor-Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of industrial exposure for pharmacy students.The keynote speaker, Mr. Anoop Chandel & Ms. Aashima Sharma, an experienced professional from Anu Healthcare-Baddi,District Solan Himachal Pradesh, discussed the different divisions within the pharmaceutical industry, including:
- Research and Development (R&D)
- Production and Manufacturing
- Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)
- Regulatory Affairs
- Marketing and Sales
- Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Research
The speaker also highlighted the growing importance of biotechnology, pharmacovigilance, and data analytics in the modern pharma sector. Students were advised to enhance their technical knowledge, communication skills, and professional ethics to succeed in industrial roles.
World AIDS Day Report-2025
Theme-Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response
Himachal Pharmacy College, Nalagarh organized a seminar on World AIDS Day 2025 under the guidance of the Head of Department (HOD) Mr. Brij Bhushan.The program aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, promote prevention strategies, and reduce stigma associated with the disease.
The HOD delivered an informative session highlighting the theme of World AIDS Day 2025 and emphasized the importance of early testing, safe practices, and community support for affected individuals. Students and faculty actively participated and gained valuable knowledge through presentations and discussions.
The seminar successfully created awareness and encouraged responsible behavior among students, marking a meaningful observance of World AIDS Day 2025.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Report 2021-2022
‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate 75 years of progressive India. Keeping in view the Himachal Pharmacy College Nalagarh organized some events related to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) based on the theme of Achievement (Environment) “My Earth My Duty” by arranging tree plantation. Apart from that Speech and Quiz competition were also organized by the Institution. The staff members and students had participated with full enthusiasm. The winners were honoured by giving certificates. The Speech and Quiz competition organized were based on biography of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose who was an Indian Nationalist whose defiance of British authority in India made him hero among Indians. He became Congress President in 1938. His most famous quote was “Give me blood, I will give you freedom,” followed by Jai Hind and later adopted by Government of India and Indian Armed Force. The main purpose to arrange such activities by the Institution to strengthen the nation and to make the day more informative.

AIDS Awareness Programme Report 2021-2022
As per directions of HP State AIDS Control Society (HPSACS), the awareness programme was organized in our esteemed Institution on dated 18/12/2021. The awareness activities mentioned under the title “Technical Education Department” as per COVID-19 guidelines in our Institute were implemented and performed.

National Pharmacy Week Report 2021-2022
The National Pharmacy Week with the theme “Pharmacist: Front Line Health Professional” was celebrated by our prestigious Institution in the month of November on dated 25/11/2021-27/11/2021. The staff members as well as students had participated with full enthusiasm. The different activities were performed by the students like Rangoli Competition, Speech Competition etc. An awareness rally was also organized by our Institute in nearby villages.
